I felt like there was a slow start to this story. But then once it got going it was so worth it.
Layla is a college student who came to New York from Washington. She comes from money but her parents don't spoil her. Nico is a hard working man who takes care of his family first. He doesn't have money or the greatest background. But none of these things matter to Layla. She wants to be with him anyway. Nico never feels like he is good enough for her. Layla has a roommate that is really quite snobby, but I still couldn't hate her for it because you could always tell she really was just looking out for Layla. Even if it was not what Layla wanted to hear.
The end of the book was very emotional! I really did cry (hence the reason it got 5 ⭐). But then the epilogue happened..... and it pushed to story into a whole new direction with a GIGANTIC cliffhanger that had my stomach in knots!
😒 Now I am slightly annoyed that I have to wait to find out what happens to Layla and Nico, but I really look forward to seeing where this story line goes!

And I was constantly getting mad at the different obstacles that kept blocking them from their happily ever after! And when they are together..... they are HOT 🔥🔥🔥. The only thing that I was unhappy about with this book was ..... DAMMIT! When can we find out if Carter and Lianne get back together FOR GOOD?!?!?

                                                                               Stealing Heats by Lex Martin     4.25🌟 4🔥      This book was JUST what I needed!  It was hot, fast-paced, a bit of suspense, and a woman-you-love-to-hate!  Brother's best friend, but with the added angst that the brother died Rhett wants to save his family's ranch and the only way he can get a loan is to be married.  Paige needs to rehab an injury, but has no insurance to do it.  So win/win.  And then they go and let feelings get involved.  But with the way that Paige seamlessly fits right into his family with all his brothers, there was no way that feelings wouldn't come about.... not to mention the history and Paige's ch...

  Promise Me Not by Meagan Brandy          5🌟 2🔥 Definitely worth the wait! This was a SUPER SLOW BURN book! So if you are looking for spice, it isn't here!  But if you are looking for a heart felt, gut wrenching tale of love lost, then found again.... you are in the right place!  Mason was such a hot AF super alpha and was ready to take charge right away.  He knew he wanted it all and he wanted it with Payton!  Chase was sticking his meddling nose in where it didn't belong (AGAIN) and I was ready to figure out how to jump into the book just to punch him in the face!  But then look at him trying to redeem himself!  We shall see!  This story must have been a tough one for Meagan to tell.... they guilt and pain that Payton feels through out the whole book, over EVERYTHING and EVERYONE that she really has contact with.  But most of all the guilt about Deaton (the decease father of her son), Little D(eaton) and Mason.
