Narrated by: Sarah Puckett & Jeffrey Holz
So basically Taliah has to marry Kostos because her dad is in debt with their family.... but there is so much more to it than that! I am loving the story. I like the dynamic between them. I like how they are beginning to have feelings for each other but are still very argumentative with each other.... it makes it feel more realistic. I can not say that I am the biggest fan of anyone in his family except for his mother who seems to have a very romantic heart.
The only thing about this is the male narrator's feminine voice. It is quite irritating! When he is using it he tends to make Taliah sound really whiney, and when she is angry he tends to make her sound like a petulant child instead of a pissed off woman. And I don't get the whiney vibe from her at all. Sometimes listening to him speak as her was a struggle.... this would most likely have been better if it was a duet narration.
This book does end on a cliffhanger and I am ready to get the next one so that I can find out what happens!
