Review: My Life As A Country Album

Wow! Just wow! New to me author! I went in completely blind. Had no clue what I was getting into. And as I was listening I kept having this feeling that this book was going to rip me to shreds! And it did! Not a spicy book at all, but there was plenty of that sexual tension once Jake and Cam got together! With their age difference, he was real apprehensive about being with her that way. This couple was so back and forth! Friends since the beginning of time. Always looked out for each other. Cam was the tomboy of the neighborhood who fell for her neighbor. He didn't notice her in THAT way until he was getting ready to leave for college. So just when she FINALLY gets him for a bit, he then puts the breaks on. This story is told completely from Cami's POV. And Sara Puckett does a PHENOMENAL job with it. There is so much emotion with this story and I felt it ALL. I legit went through a whole box of tissue. Thankfully I was listening to this, reading it would have been impossible through all the tears..... I cried sad tears, angry tears and happy tears! ALL THE TEARS!
I am totally in a love/hate relationship with LJ Evans and her books right now.... and I have a feeling that the next one will get me in the FEELS also. So while I can not wait to get to the next one..... I am also a little scared! ๐คฃ
This is totally a "more than 5 star" read, had it been a book I would not have been able to put it down. If you are in need to a good cry this is absolutely a book you need to check out.... but may I suggest the audio.... then you don't have to try to read through tears. ๐
