I am not going to lie...  I had some pretty high expectations going into this book.  And they were not met.  That doesn't mean that I didn't like it,  it just wasn't what I was expecting.  That being said, I really did enjoy it.  The relationship between Kash and Baily was kind of odd, and when they transitioned into that relationship it felt off for me.  It didn't flow together that well..... well come to find out that you get a bit of insight as to WHY it seemed that way later in the story.  I had a pretty good idea who the villain of the story would be, but I will also say that I thought others were going to have been involved that were not, so that was an interesting twist.   I am slightly annoyed that there was someone toward the beginning of the story that seemed to be an ally, and she seems to recognize him in others later on, but we didn't find out who the heck he was! (unless I missed that in the scene with all the other revelations).  This story did end on a cliffhanger, but not one that has me throwing my reading device.  I will continue with the trilogy because I need to know what else is in store for these 2.  I wasn't terribly impressed with the narration.... I like her voice, but there was something that just didn't click well with me.... I would still listen to the other books.

The only thing that I was unhappy about with this book was ..... DAMMIT! When can we find out if Carter and Lianne get back together FOR GOOD?!?!?

                                                                               Stealing Heats by Lex Martin     4.25🌟 4🔥      This book was JUST what I needed!  It was hot, fast-paced, a bit of suspense, and a woman-you-love-to-hate!  Brother's best friend, but with the added angst that the brother died Rhett wants to save his family's ranch and the only way he can get a loan is to be married.  Paige needs to rehab an injury, but has no insurance to do it.  So win/win.  And then they go and let feelings get involved.  But with the way that Paige seamlessly fits right into his family with all his brothers, there was no way that feelings wouldn't come about.... not to mention the history and Paige's ch...

  Promise Me Not by Meagan Brandy          5🌟 2🔥 Definitely worth the wait! This was a SUPER SLOW BURN book! So if you are looking for spice, it isn't here!  But if you are looking for a heart felt, gut wrenching tale of love lost, then found again.... you are in the right place!  Mason was such a hot AF super alpha and was ready to take charge right away.  He knew he wanted it all and he wanted it with Payton!  Chase was sticking his meddling nose in where it didn't belong (AGAIN) and I was ready to figure out how to jump into the book just to punch him in the face!  But then look at him trying to redeem himself!  We shall see!  This story must have been a tough one for Meagan to tell.... they guilt and pain that Payton feels through out the whole book, over EVERYTHING and EVERYONE that she really has contact with.  But most of all the guilt about Deaton (the decease father of her son), Little D(eaton) and Mason.
