Review: Nashville Nights

My rating: 4 of 5 stars
This 2nd book in the Music City Lovers series is all about addiction. Addiction to alcohol. Addiction to drugs. Addiction to sex. Addiction to feeling needed. I can't lie.... this story reeks of co-dependency. And I suppose that works for some people. The fact that Gigi has gone to school for psychological issues probably helps them navigate their way through the relationship. They are most definitely HOT AF! Vaughn wasn't as swoony as Travis was.... I had thought he was going to be more so but that wasn't they kind if Hero he was. Gigi was absolutely the dedicated heroine that I knew she would be based on her interactions with her family in Ruby's story. It was a pretty good story, and if I didn't have personal experience with co-dependency I would have probably thought it more romantic that she seems to be the only one that could help him. She could save the bad boy. They say that's why all women love a bad boy right, so we can save them? I just couldn't relate to romanticizing these things about addiction. But I will continue with the series because I am enjoying the family, band and I do like the writing style, just this specific story didn't hit me in the best way.
