Review: His Possession

His Possession His Possession by Anna Bloom
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

What I liked best about this story was then ending.... (without spoiling too much) it totally wrapped up the main mystery and suspense of the book, but then also left it open to there being more to it. So you can either leave it at that, OR you can read more of story when the next book comes out!

Sophia falls in love with her bodyguard, Blake. He fell in love with her.... but at the time she was under age, so there was nothing to be done about it. He felt that it would be better if he left. So he did. Until she was in trouble again.... and then he came back. Him leaving was the reason that her world went into a tail spin. She thought that Blake was the only person who actually care about her and then he just left. She got too heavily into drugs and even tried to harm herself. When she started getting threatening letters, Blake was brought back to protect her. She wasn't too happy about it at first but it didn't take too long for all the truths about feelings to start coming out. So they now have to figure out how to navigate their re;relationship while trying to still keep her safe.

There was some pretty good suspense involved, and a bit of a curve ball that I did not see coming. I did get a bit teary-eyed at the end. I really like that it was not left at a total cliff hanger so you dont feel like you absolutely HAVE to read the next one. Also I am not going to get annoyed waiting for the next one. I feel like there has been enough closure, but I will still be reading the follow up!!
