Review: Power

There were so many aspects to this story that made it impossible to put down.  First there is the relationship between Raven and her mother, Rachel.  It was beyond toxic.  And in many ways it really felt like Raven was more of an adult than Rachel was. Also the relationship between Rachel and Jett was just wrong on SO many levels.  That woman wouldn't know how to love anything if it smacked her in the face.  Then here is the relationship between Raven and Maria.  She is so protective of that girl and seeing how Maria acts towards Jett is hilarious! Then there is the relationship that had with Brody and Cher!  Talk about some epic, ride or die friends! 

That brings me to the relationship between Raven and Jett...... 🔥🔥🔥💦💦💦 Well..... it was HOT AF!  And oh so complicated!  And everything he thought he was successfully pushing her away, he got super jealous and made another excuse as to why he needed to keep being with her in secret.  While I would never condone cheating.... I can totally see why Raven would have absolutely NO guilt over it.  The groveling seemed a bit outrageous on a monetary level, but the meaning behind each gift was totally swoon worthy!  

To say that I am so in love with this story is a bit of an understatement!  The forbidden nature, the super hot scenes, and then angst involved with the reason for the forbidden nature.... UGH!  Totally my kryptonite! And there was even a darlin' or 2 thrown in for good Kelly measure!  This book gets all the SPICY AF and FORBIDDEN AF stars!

                                                                               Stealing Heats by Lex Martin     4.25🌟 4🔥      This book was JUST what I needed!  It was hot, fast-paced, a bit of suspense, and a woman-you-love-to-hate!  Brother's best friend, but with the added angst that the brother died Rhett wants to save his family's ranch and the only way he can get a loan is to be married.  Paige needs to rehab an injury, but has no insurance to do it.  So win/win.  And then they go and let feelings get involved.  But with the way that Paige seamlessly fits right into his family with all his brothers, there was no way that feelings wouldn't come about.... not to mention the history and Paige's ch...

  Promise Me Not by Meagan Brandy          5🌟 2🔥 Definitely worth the wait! This was a SUPER SLOW BURN book! So if you are looking for spice, it isn't here!  But if you are looking for a heart felt, gut wrenching tale of love lost, then found again.... you are in the right place!  Mason was such a hot AF super alpha and was ready to take charge right away.  He knew he wanted it all and he wanted it with Payton!  Chase was sticking his meddling nose in where it didn't belong (AGAIN) and I was ready to figure out how to jump into the book just to punch him in the face!  But then look at him trying to redeem himself!  We shall see!  This story must have been a tough one for Meagan to tell.... they guilt and pain that Payton feels through out the whole book, over EVERYTHING and EVERYONE that she really has contact with.  But most of all the guilt about Deaton (the decease father of her son), Little D(eaton) and Mason.
