Review: Unveiling Fate

Unveiling Fate Unveiling Fate by Jeannine Allison
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

"You can’t spend your life giving everything away in hopes that someday a person will give it back."

Man if that isn't the truest statement! This was the first time I heard of Jeannine Allison. I was not at all sure that I was getting into. But the cover was beautiful (yes I will partially judge a book by its cover), and other readers (that I often share opinions of books with) were raving about her writing. So here I am.... I have only read this one at this point, but I am going to get around to reading the others! This book was fantastic!
Ellie was just a regular girl who wanted to have friends, and her parents to love her. She didn't get those. But she had just about the best brother a girl could have. He got her out of the terrible situation that she was living in with the constant emotional abuse from their parents. Grayson was a cop who Damien sought help from in dealing with Ellie's drinking problem. Grayson feels like he just fails the people that he cares about. But then he finds that he is drawn to Ellie and he can't seem to pull himself away.
These two are quit the pair with a whole lot of baggage on both sides! The beauty of it is that they work well on helping each other with their issues. Their relationship is a very slow build up. This is not a love at first sight, big drama, then they live happily ever after , all with in the span of 2 months kind of story. (and honestly the build up to their sexual relationship is super hot!!!)
I was drawn in very early and I just loved these characters! I am so glad that I got the recommendation for this author. She writes a very good, emotional, sweet sensual story and I can not wait to read more from her!
