Review: Gods & Monsters

Gods & Monsters Gods & Monsters by Saffron A. Kent
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I really don't think that I could have loved this book any more! Evie is a goddess! Abel is a tortured, yet totally lovable, soul. I love the time span of this book. Since it starts out when they are so young, I was really reminded of how potent young love can be. The things that you do with your love when sex is not yet something you are ready for. I would image, as a writer, that is a difficult thing to toe the line of without making some people angry. (Saffron does a fantastic job of this!!!) There were more than one occasion that I found myself tearing up or just out right crying! I love how Evie sees in Abel what everyone else refuses to acknowledge. Their love is absolutely the stuff of legends! They both love with their whole heart. Despite what they are facing, they don't seem to lose faith in each other. Even when it seems like they may be losing faith in them self!
5 stars is not enough to rate this story and all of the emotions it pulled out of me. I felt joy, sadness, anger, confusion, and of coarse I was turned on! Saffron knows just how much angst to put in there without it becoming too much! I was on the edge of my seat through the whole story just waiting to see what would try to pull them apart! I only wish that I could have spent more time in Evie and Abel's world. I really did not want to stop reading about them.
