GAH!!!  I forgot how much that cliffhanger had me wanting to throw things! Ok so thanks to the Quarter Quell..... Katniss and Peeta have to go back into the arena!  Things are a bit strained between them when they first get home from the first games..... he is in love with her, and she just cant admit that she loves him too.  But moving on..... Gale decided he wanted in on the kissing action and of coarse..... Snow knew about it!  Because of Katniss they reassigned the peacekeepers in District 12 to be harder on the people.  So after everything that happened when her and Peeta were back home, she basically decides that Peeta is the one that needs to live because the Capitol wont let her live in peace, ever!  This time they made allies with other tributes.  And Katniss had no problems with killing people this time around.  But she was again forming attachments to the other tributes, causing her to not want to have to kill them later.  

This one was pretty dark, even more than the first book.  I love how swoony Peeta still is!  Like he was all wounded that she couldn't return his love at first, but then he was all about doing anything to make her happy and keep her safe, even if she couldn't say she loved him back.... or even accept his love.  She is still so clueless about things when it comes to boys!  But he was super swoony and Gale really just made me angry.  And the narration was top notch again!  Loving that I chose to revisit the series via audio!

And I was constantly getting mad at the different obstacles that kept blocking them from their happily ever after! And when they are together..... they are HOT 🔥🔥🔥. The only thing that I was unhappy about with this book was ..... DAMMIT! When can we find out if Carter and Lianne get back together FOR GOOD?!?!?

                                                                               Stealing Heats by Lex Martin     4.25🌟 4🔥      This book was JUST what I needed!  It was hot, fast-paced, a bit of suspense, and a woman-you-love-to-hate!  Brother's best friend, but with the added angst that the brother died Rhett wants to save his family's ranch and the only way he can get a loan is to be married.  Paige needs to rehab an injury, but has no insurance to do it.  So win/win.  And then they go and let feelings get involved.  But with the way that Paige seamlessly fits right into his family with all his brothers, there was no way that feelings wouldn't come about.... not to mention the history and Paige's ch...

  Promise Me Not by Meagan Brandy          5🌟 2🔥 Definitely worth the wait! This was a SUPER SLOW BURN book! So if you are looking for spice, it isn't here!  But if you are looking for a heart felt, gut wrenching tale of love lost, then found again.... you are in the right place!  Mason was such a hot AF super alpha and was ready to take charge right away.  He knew he wanted it all and he wanted it with Payton!  Chase was sticking his meddling nose in where it didn't belong (AGAIN) and I was ready to figure out how to jump into the book just to punch him in the face!  But then look at him trying to redeem himself!  We shall see!  This story must have been a tough one for Meagan to tell.... they guilt and pain that Payton feels through out the whole book, over EVERYTHING and EVERYONE that she really has contact with.  But most of all the guilt about Deaton (the decease father of her son), Little D(eaton) and Mason.
