I have to say that I was a big fan of this story.  Maeve had me from the beginning!  Her home life, her determination.... I was all for being #TeamMaeve.  Jack had me quite angry for a bit.  But when he started to turn swoony..... he went all out!  At least in his head, lol..... I don't think that he ever quite worded his feelings properly with Maeve.  But she seemed to finally get it.  I don't really want to say that the story ended on a cliffhanger.... but it kind of did.  While Maeve and Jack's story is all told, and mysteries surrounding them have come out, there was some other stuff mentioned on the book that leads in to what will be the next book.  This book definitely had my brain working.  You never really know who to trust and I was totally feeling all that!  I am quite eager to get more from this dangerous, intriguing family! This was a new to me author ...... so far I am thinking I need to get into her backlist some more! 

The narrations was OK.  I thought that Michael Gallagher  was great.  Sarah Jane Rose  is where I had some issues.  While I thought she was phenomenal during the sexy moments (her breathless voice was OUTSTANDING) the rest of the time it was so calming that I almost wanted to fall asleep.  Which isn't always a bad thing..... but not something that belongs in a mafia book.

The only thing that I was unhappy about with this book was ..... DAMMIT! When can we find out if Carter and Lianne get back together FOR GOOD?!?!?

                                                                               Stealing Heats by Lex Martin     4.25🌟 4🔥      This book was JUST what I needed!  It was hot, fast-paced, a bit of suspense, and a woman-you-love-to-hate!  Brother's best friend, but with the added angst that the brother died Rhett wants to save his family's ranch and the only way he can get a loan is to be married.  Paige needs to rehab an injury, but has no insurance to do it.  So win/win.  And then they go and let feelings get involved.  But with the way that Paige seamlessly fits right into his family with all his brothers, there was no way that feelings wouldn't come about.... not to mention the history and Paige's ch...

  Promise Me Not by Meagan Brandy          5🌟 2🔥 Definitely worth the wait! This was a SUPER SLOW BURN book! So if you are looking for spice, it isn't here!  But if you are looking for a heart felt, gut wrenching tale of love lost, then found again.... you are in the right place!  Mason was such a hot AF super alpha and was ready to take charge right away.  He knew he wanted it all and he wanted it with Payton!  Chase was sticking his meddling nose in where it didn't belong (AGAIN) and I was ready to figure out how to jump into the book just to punch him in the face!  But then look at him trying to redeem himself!  We shall see!  This story must have been a tough one for Meagan to tell.... they guilt and pain that Payton feels through out the whole book, over EVERYTHING and EVERYONE that she really has contact with.  But most of all the guilt about Deaton (the decease father of her son), Little D(eaton) and Mason.
