Review: At First Fight: A Fade Novella

Image
At First Fight: A Fade Novella by Ashley Munoz My rating: 5 of 5 stars Oooooh! This was very enlightening..... Do you ever read a book and know that the other characters are going through their own life issues and wonder what they are? And then the author just goes right into writing a book for them that tells you nothing about what happened during the book that introduced them? Well this is the book that tells you what happened!!! I was so intrigued when I read Glimmer about the other couple that seemed to have some sparks prickling the air.... and this novella tells you what happened during the time that all was happening with Jimmy and Ramsey. I am even more excited now to get into Fade!!! View all my reviews

Review: Glimmer

Image
Glimmer by Ashley Munoz My rating: 5 of 5 stars So the biggest problem with this book was that it ended.... It is a very long book that goes by so fast. I spent the first half of the book just savoring it all....taking the time to basque in the glory of new found love.... but Jimmy and Ramsey were so back and forth. But when they were on ... THEY WERE ON! Some of the sweetest moments! Then some where along the way I got wrapped up in the MC part of the story and then I couldn't get through the pages fast enough! I needed to know what was going to happen next. Then just when you think that bad stuff is over and they are going to find their way back to each other, something else happens to bring them back apart. All of the characters in this story were completely lovable! Even when you wanted to ring Jimmy's neck for being a dill whole.... you still loved him. (And don't even get me started on my love for Jackson and Laney!) But from the st...

Review: Desperately Seeking Househusband

Image
Desperately Seeking Househusband by Marika Ray My rating: 5 of 5 stars One of the funniest rom-coms I have read this year! Anything having to do with rich people and a reality TV show is bound to draw up a lot of laughs! Gabby and Rhett really are a match made in heaven! They share the same views on life and sense of humor. And Rhett isn't intimidated by her money but he also isn't trying to get his hands on it. I was highly amused by the things that happened.... and when they finally got together.... it was explosive! I absolutely loved this story!!! View all my reviews

Review: Blade

Image
Blade by Sunny Mawson My rating: 5 of 5 stars ***NEW TO ME AUTHOR*** Since I had never read anything from this author before I was not at all sure what they writing style would be like. But I knew that I have recently started to love MS novels so I thought I would give it a shot! I am so glad that I did! This was so freaking good!!! Blade was in love with Annabelle for YEARS! And now that she has come back he plans to take his chance with her.... which could be a mess for him since her dad is the Prez! (yikes!) Besides their romance there was such a great story happening with the whole MC. There is a bunch of suspense and action in this book! There was never a dull moment and I did not want to put it down! For being a BIG bad biker, Blade has got a really sweet and sensitive side (that he only lets Annabelle see). I really enjoyed this story and I am looking forward to getting more stories from the other members of this MC..... there are so many inte...

Review: Broken Knight

Image
Broken Knight by L.J. Shen My rating: 5 of 5 stars This book caused some fights in my household yesterday.... I didn't want to stop reading it. I just had to keep reading to see what was going to happen next with these kids! There was no big surprise revelation. For me everything went along as I had expected. That did NOT stop me from feeling the full source of emotions that these things will bring on. Yes I cried! I went through 1/2 a box of tissue.... my husband was looking at me crazy (as if he doesn't cry over stories) and then he even came to give me a hug because he thought I needed it. This book was packed with raw emotion, which came as no surprise to me since I had read all the Sinners of Saints books so I already knew the players. I do not think that there is an adequate number of stars to give a book like this. They max you out at 5.... but this is the kind of book that requires the use of more than 5 stars. There was a lot of hype...

Review: Rescue Me

Image
Rescue Me by Andi Jaxon My rating: 5 of 5 stars Wow! This book was not what I expected! And I mean that in a good way.... this book went way deeper than I was thinking it was going to. They story of Ben and Alister was one with a lot of depth and emotion. These 2 men were, in my opinion, destined to be together! It is NOT your typical student/teacher story. Alister knew that Ben was broken, he just didn't know the extent. And Ben just wanted to hide how bad his situation really was. It is a good thing that Alister was not willing to take no for an answer! This story touched my heart in a very real and serious way. The chapters were all short, so it was beyond easy to get lost in the story. Kristen and Alex were both very amusing characters and I very much look forward to getting stories about them! This was a new to me author and I am so glad that I picked up this book! It is a real gem! View all my reviews

Review: Hush, Hush

Image
Hush, Hush by Lucia Franco My rating: 5 of 5 stars I am at a total loss for words right now. I am trying so freaking hard to process what I just read it is insane. If you have read my reviews before you know that I like to go in blind. And that is what I did here. All I knew was that it was an age gap book. I am drowning in feelings! This was one of those stories that when the "big drama" happened.... you couldn't be mad at anyone for their reactions because you can see it from all sides and how it would affect each of the characters. And boy did I cry! Lucia pulled all the tears from me today.... my tear quota for the week has been decimated by her writing. I don't know why this would surprise me! She is so good with angst, and feelings..... she knows how to work them all into a story that completely pulls you in and won't let you out until you get to the very end! My heart is still beating rather quickly and I just KNOW that J...

Review: Inhale, Exhale.

Image
Inhale, Exhale. by C.L. Matthews My rating: 5 of 5 stars ***I am not emotionally ready to review this book yet.....*** (a day later- I think I am ready to review this soul devastating piece of fucking awesomeness!!! ) I DIED ALL THE DEADS!!! This book was EVERYTHING!!! It is going straight to my TOP READS OF 2019 list! I don't even know HOW to move on! It was everything I thought it would be and MORE! Book hangover from HELL right now! (Glad I'm all caught up on ARCs) 5 stars is no where near enough. CL Matthews killed it! She killed me with this book! And the last 10% of this book was THE MOST INTENSE HOUR OF MY LIFE!!!!! The name was totally fitting because I was having to remind myself to breath while reading it. And then it felt like some one was sitting on my chest! From the very beginning CL Matthews rips your heart out....and keeps on doing it through entire book. I read it over the span of 2 days. When I was trying to go to sleep all ...

Review: Different as Night and Day

Image
Different as Night and Day by Leigh Lennon My rating: 5 of 5 stars Oh where do I even begin! This conclusion was everything that I thought it would be. I do have to agree that Holland was a little too back and forth. But then again, with everything that girl was hit with I suppose I can completely understand her constant second guessing herself. The basic gist of this story to me was that love is love is love is love. Why is it anyone else's business who we love? Does it affect them in any way? No? Then butt out! It is not ours to judge. As long as there is love and people are happy without anyone else getting hurt than I am all for it! While Holland's back and forth drove me insane, I am absolutely in AWE of steady Maguire was. Once he made that decision, he was totally committed to it and I think that was a huge help and major annoyance for Holland. Personally I think she was just using the "you're my dead husband's father...
