Review: Six Feet Under

Image
Six Feet Under by Whitney Barbetti My rating: 4 of 5 stars I have some very conflicting feelings on this book. It was dark and depressing. It made me cry like crazy. I had a hard time keeping myself reading it, but then I also didn't want to put it down. Mira is a VERY troubled young lady. I really feel like Six was pretty good for her in the beginning. There were many things that he did and said that I really thought were not very helpful to their situation. But then he would be so sweet and caring. He is really hard to get a read on. Especially since you are getting everything from Mira's POV which is slightly off due to her mental illness. I love these characters and the worst part of this story is reading about all the struggles they face. The thoughts that go through her head when she is feeling her worst! Its all very heart breaking! I want to say that I loved this book, but I really cant "love" anything that dark and depressi...

Review: Wild in Love

Image
Wild in Love by Bella Andre My rating: 4 of 5 stars This was the first book in this series that I read. I really enjoyed it. And even knowing how the other stories will turn out I am quite sure that I will go back and read them all. I love the story of Daniel and Tasha! Tasha got caught up in some bad things that her family was a part of and she blamed herself for not seeing it sooner. This is a great story about self forgiveness! And how love can heal. Its also a great reminder that you can not choose who you fall in love with and that it might just hit you when you least expect it, and not the way you think it might. Daniel and Tasha seem to be a great couple and "perfect" team. They help each other! They get each other. And they love each other. I love how determined Daniel was to get Tasha to open up and not let her push him away! It was a great read and I look forward to going back to catch up with all the other Mavericks. ...

Review: Even If It Breaks Me

Image
Even If It Breaks Me by Dominique Laura My rating: 5 of 5 stars Wow! New-to-me author. Went in to the book blind. I didn't read the blurb or anything. I was blown away! 🤯 A great story of a girl falling in love for the first time. It really brought me back to when I was 14 and I was "falling in love". But Jade and Sebastian were not meant to be. There was the age difference, which wouldn't be that big of a deal is she had been older than 14. There were many secrets. Through the whole book I kept waiting for the other shoe to drop. Either when she was with Sebastian, and then Dylan. I was always waiting for something bad to happen. Let's be honest, Jade wasn't the strongest of heroines that I have read about, but in all seriousness she was really the easiest to relate to. She had the same insecurities that we all have. She kept thinking that something bad was going to happen in the relationship she was in, so I felt like som...

Review: Unforgivable

Image
Unforgivable by Isabel Love My rating: 5 of 5 stars "One day, I'll be worthy of her. Until then I hope I see her in my dreams." ~Wes "Sometimes, I hate that he's my brother's best friend. I want him all to myself." ~Anna OH THE FEELS! They started right in the Prologue and just kept on going right through to the Epilogue! That Prologue delivered a serious punch to my gut and I just HAD to see the whole thing through. I love a good friends-to-lovers (and brother's best friend) romance. The connection that Wes and Anna share was stronger than her high school sweetheart and her brother warning off Wes. It's stronger than the mistakes that they made to get them to where they were. It was strong enough to withstand learning the secrets that had each kept buried for a decade. This story is sweet, hot, intense, heart breaking, spirit uplifting and at times quite funny. Isabel Love has told a story with some controvers...

Review: Welcome to the Dark Side

Image
Welcome to the Dark Side by Giana Darling My rating: 5 of 5 stars I don't even know if the fantastic-ness (yes that is totally a real word) of this book can be out into words. But now I have to try. I have been so excitedly waiting for this book to show up on my Kindle. Zeus and Loulou was a story that I was so excited to read about! It really did not disappoint at all! It has love, lust, betrayal, acceptance, (partial) forgiveness and a whole lot of other feels! THE FEELS ARE REAL PEOPLE!!! The characters in supporting roles in this book made such an impact on me! Even they pulled out some very strong emotions from me! Loulou feels like she just needs to live her life the way she wants no matter what people think of her choices.... she faced death 2 times at such a young age that when she thought that she would be facing it again, nothing was off limits! She was going to enjoy life her way! And I totally admire her for that because at such a you...

Review: Physical Connection

Image
Physical Connection by Sierra Hill My rating: 4 of 5 stars This was a super sweet novella! 💖💖💖 Mark and Eli are so hot and cute all at the same time. I really liked hearing about them getting together. It was really cool to get a little bit of back story for both the characters. I really wish it was longer! I think I could easily have spent so much more time with Mark and Eli. It was a great story about these 2 getting together and working through the obstacles that they face for both being gay and working together! 🔥🔥🔥🔥 View all my reviews

Review: Voyeur

Image
Voyeur by Fiona Cole My rating: 5 of 5 stars :sighs: Ok I am going to try my best to articulate my feelings on this book. I am obsessed! I love Cal and Oaklyn so much that it is not even funny!💖😍 When I was supposed to be working I was daydreaming of these 2! I could not get them out of my mind. I would count down the minutes until I could go read about them some more. When I was not reading about them I was going over what I just read and trying to speculate what would happen next! I am not going to lie.... they broke my heart a little 💔 (or more like a lot!!!😭) With a name like Voyeur, you expect it to be hot (🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 and it is SOOOOOOOOO HOT!!!!!), but I was not expecting they story to get so deep! Oaklyn really is the most patient, understanding and compassionate woman, and Cal was really fortunate to have met her. The issues that he has to deal with are very deep rooted and he had been working on them (or so he thought) for a very long ti...

Review: Regretfully Yours

Image
Regretfully Yours by Sunniva Dee My rating: 5 of 5 stars Whew! That was quite the ride.. I haven't read many "mafia romance" novels, but this is exactly hat I would expect from one. Totally action packed from the beginning. The angst started so quickly in this book and did not let up until the very end. The forbidden love that these 2 share makes the reader feel so many things. I was seriously in love with Silvina and Gioele from the opening scene. I was not expecting for their relationship to be what it was. I thought it was a great story! I had a hard time putting it down when adult responsibilities drew me back into the real world... I had wanted to stay in their world. The twists and turns in this story kept me totally enthralled through out the whole book! View all my reviews

Review: Pretty Ugly

Image
Pretty Ugly by Jane Anthony My rating: 5 of 5 stars OH. MY. FREAKING. HEART! (Please hold while I piece it back together... this could take a few minutes!!!) I love this series! Pretty Reckless ended with a HEA.... the problem is that addicts dont actually get a HEA. Their happiness is a constant work in progress! So it only seemed fitting that Kat and Chase have a relationship and wedding surrounded in dysfunction. Ever since I head that Jane was writing this book I was waiting so impatiently for their story to continue! While reading Pretty Ugly I dont think I would get through more than 3 chapters without crying. Many times words that were spoken were like a slap to the face, and I felt that! I was so completely into this book.... it took me 1 day to read it.... I dove right back in during every break at work. My co-workers looked at me like I was crazy because I would randomly gasp, and then sniffle. All the feels! This story is heart crushing, s...

Review: Priest

Image
Priest by Sierra Simone My rating: 5 of 5 stars There is not a thing that I can say about this book that has not already been said in many ways. But I have to throw my thoughts out there anyway! Even as I write this I slowly piecing my heart back together. There is so much conflict in Father Bell's heart and soul. The man is just beautiful! He most definitely had some very difficult decisions to make. The biggest thing that bothered me about Poppy was mostly that she didn't trust him to make decisions based off his faith and beliefs. And I felt like she as taking decisions away from him. He does a lot of self discovery in this book and it takes a lot of soul searching for him to get there. I admire Father Bell for the tough choices that he made to get his life to the many places he had been. I felt his conflicting emotions. When he felt lost, I felt lost. When his heart was broken, my heart was broken. There were more than one occasion where ...

Review: Dirty Flirting: Part Two

Image
Dirty Flirting: Part Two by Ava Alise My rating: 5 of 5 stars OMFG! With the cliffhanger ending in part 1 I had been not so patiently waiting for part 2! I was not one bit disappointed! Ava took this story to a whole new level and I was so into it from the beginning. I was quite mad that grown-up life things were getting in the way of my reading. I wanted to know what happens with Kelsa and Drex! Well now I know. As you know they have a whole mass of hills to get over. They get over one, just to have to start the climb all over again. At times in the story you wonder if they will look at it all and think that its not worth all the effort. Tara was a HUGE factor in this story. She became a major roadblock for them. She was also some one that needed to be handled with kid gloves because she just didn't seem stable to me. I was really into this book. When they cleared a hurdle, I cheered. When they had an argument I got sad. When THE TWIST came I ha...
