Well that escelated quickly!  The twists and turns that this book had was nothing short of masterful!  There were some that when I think back I should have known they were there, but the author was directing my attention elsewhere so the thought didn't materialize.  So freaking fantastic!  Love the relationship between James and Wendy. I love how forgiving her soul is and how she could see in him what she most likely saw in herself and they both just wanted to be loved..  My head is still spinning at the turn of events that happened one right after another.  The reveations just kept on coming!  But it didn't feel overwhelming at all!  Anyways, the book is fairly dark, but to be honest it is really like dipping a toe into the workd of dark romance before you decide if you want to fully dice in.  Its a great story.  The revisioning on this villain and "hero" was so great to read and I can not wait to get into more of the books in the series to see what Emily has in store for them.

                                                                               Stealing Heats by Lex Martin     4.25🌟 4🔥      This book was JUST what I needed!  It was hot, fast-paced, a bit of suspense, and a woman-you-love-to-hate!  Brother's best friend, but with the added angst that the brother died Rhett wants to save his family's ranch and the only way he can get a loan is to be married.  Paige needs to rehab an injury, but has no insurance to do it.  So win/win.  And then they go and let feelings get involved.  But with the way that Paige seamlessly fits right into his family with all his brothers, there was no way that feelings wouldn't come about.... not to mention the history and Paige's ch...

  Promise Me Not by Meagan Brandy          5🌟 2🔥 Definitely worth the wait! This was a SUPER SLOW BURN book! So if you are looking for spice, it isn't here!  But if you are looking for a heart felt, gut wrenching tale of love lost, then found again.... you are in the right place!  Mason was such a hot AF super alpha and was ready to take charge right away.  He knew he wanted it all and he wanted it with Payton!  Chase was sticking his meddling nose in where it didn't belong (AGAIN) and I was ready to figure out how to jump into the book just to punch him in the face!  But then look at him trying to redeem himself!  We shall see!  This story must have been a tough one for Meagan to tell.... they guilt and pain that Payton feels through out the whole book, over EVERYTHING and EVERYONE that she really has contact with.  But most of all the guilt about Deaton (the decease father of her son), Little D(eaton) and Mason.
