I rather enjoyed this story.  Penelope was a "spinster" that had a thing for taking in animals that need care or have just been abandoned.  Gabriel buys the property next door and says that in order to make money off the property she will need to get rid of the animals, which goes along with what her aunt also said.  So he decides to help her find homes for all the animals (and there are a lot and some uncommon ones).... but of coarse in the process he gets to know her and he was already attracted to her.  I thought it was a good story.  One of the conflicts comes when he does what he always does.... fighting dirty is all he knows based on how he grew up.  So I was a bit annoyed with her for not understanding where he was coming from, thankfully she came back around pretty quickly.  Definitely an entertaining listen!

                                                                               Stealing Heats by Lex Martin     4.25🌟 4🔥      This book was JUST what I needed!  It was hot, fast-paced, a bit of suspense, and a woman-you-love-to-hate!  Brother's best friend, but with the added angst that the brother died Rhett wants to save his family's ranch and the only way he can get a loan is to be married.  Paige needs to rehab an injury, but has no insurance to do it.  So win/win.  And then they go and let feelings get involved.  But with the way that Paige seamlessly fits right into his family with all his brothers, there was no way that feelings wouldn't come about.... not to mention the history and Paige's ch...

  Promise Me Not by Meagan Brandy          5🌟 2🔥 Definitely worth the wait! This was a SUPER SLOW BURN book! So if you are looking for spice, it isn't here!  But if you are looking for a heart felt, gut wrenching tale of love lost, then found again.... you are in the right place!  Mason was such a hot AF super alpha and was ready to take charge right away.  He knew he wanted it all and he wanted it with Payton!  Chase was sticking his meddling nose in where it didn't belong (AGAIN) and I was ready to figure out how to jump into the book just to punch him in the face!  But then look at him trying to redeem himself!  We shall see!  This story must have been a tough one for Meagan to tell.... they guilt and pain that Payton feels through out the whole book, over EVERYTHING and EVERYONE that she really has contact with.  But most of all the guilt about Deaton (the decease father of her son), Little D(eaton) and Mason.
