I was not prepared! This book took my heart and ripped it out of my chest. Then it stomped on it. And then when I thought that it was already beat to a pulp...... the book stomped on it some more! Evan is a Hero that will have you questioning your morals. But he is the epitome of the "I'm a lover not a fighter" type hero that tries to be a fighter only to fall hard back into that lover role! The slow burn of this book is almost infuriating at times! But damn when they finally get to it..... so worth the wait! Josie is the type of heroine that you just want to yell at because you totally think that she is settling for WAY less than she deserves!

This cast of characters are all morally flawed (some more than others). And I promise you that there will be times when you want to bitch slap everyone in the book (except the kids of coarse!) Some of the things that happen in this book are the kind of things that make you wish that Messenger had a font size option because the SHOUTY CAPS just are not enough to effectively get your feelings across to the fellow book whore that had you read it! I cried. I raged. I got so angry that I was shaking. I swooned! I ached (in more ways than one 😏) But by then end..... I think you will be left feeling like everything came to the conclusion that it should have.

In short.... this book broke me so many times I questioned if it was even going to be able to put me back together..... and then it did so in a spectacular fashion! This is absolutely a book that I will want to read again..... and since it is all told from Evan's POV I am really hoping that it comes to audio! If you are ready to go on a emotional roller coaster.... buckle up and take the ride! You will not be sorry at all!

Just finished the audio! It got me all over again. And I can not rave enough about how fantastic Neill Thorne was! Listening to him during some of the emotional parts had me struggling to breathe! I could feel the angst!!! He was the PERFECT Evan! (and I still can't stand Emmett)
