I had WAY too much fun reading this book! Tory, Teagan's sister (from Miss Belief) is a single mom. Her daughter has cancer and Tory doesn't have the kind of job that offers medical insurance. In comes Chance..... he owes Reid (his brother) and Teagan for some BS he pulled in Miss Belief and since he has the means to he hires Tory. The perks of this job.... great pay, awesome medical insurance, a nice house to stay in, a great car to drive and a boss that meddles in all your personal affairs without bothering to ask. With Tory being the independent and self sufficient woman that she is, that last perk was the most difficult for her to deal with. As you can imagine, this caused some problems in the relationship that they developed, along with a whole lot of self doubt on both sides!
Aubrey's books all seem to have at least one moment that makes me shed some tears and this one was no different! The laughs came easily with this intense couple. With as serious as they both are you would not have expected this book to be as comical as it was. There is one part in particular that had me DYING on laughter... to the point where I was having to re-read pages because my laughter interrupted my reading and then I wanted to start all over so I could read the whole scene together.... which of coarse caused me to laugh a whole lot more. It was an awesome ab workout!
Top Read of 2021! Hands down! With all the hilarity and the serious love I have for this couple it is absolutely a MORE THAN 5 🌟 read!!! This series in an all time fave! There are always new characters being introduced that it always has me wondering "who is that person going to end up with". I can't wait to see who we get more of next!!!

Audio: I listened to this after I read it and I have to say the narration was FANTASTIC! Christopher and Ariel REALLY captured these two! I was a WONDERFUL listen!
