I really wanted to love this book. Everyone was going on about how great it was, and I just didn't connect with it. The story line was a good one. For me it had the potential to be a real emotional read. And it wasn't the characters, because I thought that they were pretty good too. There was a lot of time hopping in the book, and while I understand why the story may have needed to be told in that way, I think that may be why I was unable to form a connection to the characters and the story. I will say that I did shed a couple tears at the end and felt like it ended well. It wasn't a bad book. Or maybe I wasn't in the frame of mind for a book like this at the time. But I do think that, despite my personal feelings it was a good book and I can see why so many people had recommended it. The story is a very powerful one.

                                                                               Stealing Heats by Lex Martin     4.25🌟 4🔥      This book was JUST what I needed!  It was hot, fast-paced, a bit of suspense, and a woman-you-love-to-hate!  Brother's best friend, but with the added angst that the brother died Rhett wants to save his family's ranch and the only way he can get a loan is to be married.  Paige needs to rehab an injury, but has no insurance to do it.  So win/win.  And then they go and let feelings get involved.  But with the way that Paige seamlessly fits right into his family with all his brothers, there was no way that feelings wouldn't come about.... not to mention the history and Paige's ch...

  Promise Me Not by Meagan Brandy          5🌟 2🔥 Definitely worth the wait! This was a SUPER SLOW BURN book!
