Review: Jax

My rating: 5 of 5 stars
I really dont know what took me so long to read this! Im a huge fan of Lane Hart. I think she tells a great story. This book was hiding in my Kindle for a year and a half. I think that maybe its because I am not into MMA stuff. This seriously had little to do with MMA as a sport, but more like the perception that you would think people have of the people involved.
Jackson Malone (Jax) is the MMA Middleweight World Champion, so who wouldn't believe that he raped and strangled a female fan? Um... anyone who actually knows him. Why would he have to rape someone that is throwing them self at him? Well, Page Davenport doesn't know him at all. Only what she has heard in the media which is that he is a vicious rapist. That doesn't stop her from fantasizing about him. Of coarse they get together. But it does not go smoothly at all. I love how he felt protective of her from the very beginning, even when he couldn't stand her and knew that she thought he was a monster. It gave you a glimpse into the big heart that he has.
One of the things that I really enjoyed about this book was the family dynamics. Page has a family that leaves a lot to be desired, especially since they really all look down on her just because she is a woman. Which is why it is no surprise why she was drawn to Jax and his family. They seem to think that a good woman should be treasured, not put down or treated like arm candy. Jude is so freaking hilarious in that typical little brother way. Going out of his way to annoy Jax. Its very amusing to read. It really left the door open to getting excited to read more about Jude. Which is the very thing that I plan on doing!
