Review: Without Apology

Image
Without Apology by Aubrey Bondurant My rating: 5 of 5 stars Wow! I loved it!!! There were more occasions than I would like to count when I felt that punch to my gut. I shed a few tears.... I laughed so many laughs! This book gave me so many feels! In general I am a pretty big fan of Aubrey's books, I like the way she writes and the things she writes about. Usually not too much angst involved.... just enough to make your stomach twinge now and then, and usually there is a whole lot of comedy that gives these relationships an element of realism that you don't always get with romance books. Great start to a series and I am so excited to read some more from this world.... the secondary characters very much piqued my interest so I want to know when they get their HEA! View all my reviews

Review: Must Love Forever

Image
Must Love Forever by Leigh Lennon My rating: 5 of 5 stars This book had it all for me! Friends to lovers. Love, then heartbreak and then love again. Bianca and Mick are so wonderful! He is so great with her. Bianca goes through quite a bit a trauma and he doesn't push too hard to get her where he wants her. This book is a great showing of how the heart can keep on beating even after it seems to be have shredded to pieces.  Mick and Bianca are absolutely the couple that you wholeheartedly root for!  Love them so so so much!  Definitely a book I would recommend to anyone who loves friends to lovers! Review: Credence

Image
Credence by Penelope Douglas My rating: 4 of 5 stars I would actually give this 3.5 stars..... There wasn't anything about the book that I didn't like. I know there have been some people ripping it apart, but I don't think that there is any reason for it. Maybe it was all the hype I got swept up in but I just didn't think that this book was great. I liked it. There was some really great sexual tension with all involved. I spent most of the book feeling really bad for Noah! I liked that there were multiple POV's but I just didn't think that there was enough from Kaleb. I mean, I understand that he doesn't talk (for very serious reasons), and maybe the author wanted us to be just as frustrated as the other characters in the story. But I felt like it was an irritant more than a delayed gratification type thing. The premise of the story was great! Unloved girl trapped for the winter with 3 men (one much older).....and it was s...

Review: Heartless Hero

Image
Heartless Hero by Mary Catherine Gebhard My rating: 5 of 5 stars Wow! This book was off the charts. Emotions all over the place. I went in totally blind and it was an author that was new to me, so I had no clue what to expect. Only that it was highly recommended by some people whose opinions I respect and often agree with. Such a great story and it was told so well. I definitely look forward to getting into more from this author and see what more she has to tell us! View all my reviews

Review: Rock Star, Unbroken

Image
Rock Star, Unbroken by S.M. Shade My rating: 5 of 5 stars Wow! SM Shade killed me with that cliffhanger at the end of Rock Star, Interrupted! But she totally made up for it with the conclusion! And there was a twist or 2 that I did NOT see coming! You get some more of the back story about how Naomi came to be there, and you also get to find out more about Axton's past that he is so terrified to relive! This book absolutely completed their story and brought it full circle. There was heat, passion, joy, fun and some punch to the gut revelations that just had me reeling! This rock star/single dad romance is worth every single one of the 5  🌟 I am giving it! But I am not going to lie..... I kind of want to see poor Patrick get a story.... he needs a HEA too! And it may be fun to see Dani get her story too! View all my reviews
