Review: Ruin

Image
Ruin by Laurelin Paige My rating: 5 of 5 stars Ok I am so on the boarder.... after the Fixed trilogy I did not think that there was any way that I could come to like Celia. After Rivalry I was feeling bad for her. This man that she married, she knew he was not good.... but she thought that she could seduce him into being what she needed him to be, and when that didn't work I actually felt kind of bad for her because I felt like he was sending mixed signals and then she would take a leap just to fall and then crash on her face (again). Slay brought a whole new emotion out of me. After hearing more about her story, I don't like her yet.... but now I am not feeling bad for her like I was before.... But I feel like I better understand her and how she got into the situation she was in. And this is only the 2nd book of 4! I am quite sure that I will be a Celia fan by the time I get through with the 4th book and then I will have to go back and read ...

Review: Famous

Image
Famous by Leigh Lennon My rating: 5 of 5 stars 🔥🔥🔥 Loved this book so so much!  By far my favorite of the series!  Dane and Cami are perfect.... Add Miles to the mix and it's just everything!  Miles seems like he's going to be all hard and a hole like ... But they soften him up quite easily!  Due to both sides having been hurt before, I thought the extra emphasis on the building of this relationship was perfection!  Cami and Dane already having kids means that Miles would be moving into a ready made family.... And I think that's just the kind of stability he needs!  I can not even tell you how much I loved this story!  I really could have spent so much more time with these 3 😍 View all my reviews

Review: Beg for Mercy

Image
Beg for Mercy by L.A. Hart My rating: 5 of 5 stars I was pulled in from page 1. The only reason why I didn't finish same day was because.... well adulting! But damn Maddie and Aric are FIRE!!! I love them! They are freaking perfect together! The whole enemies to lovers thing was really working for them. I really loved how Aric's parents were... they were super supportive of whatever he wanted to do as long as it wasn't just being a bum. Then there were the side people... they were fascinating AF! I can not wait to get to their stories! I bet they have some REALLY good ones to tell! Especially Hannah! I am really intrigued by what she has to tell us! Great start to what I think is going to be a very entertaining series!!! View all my reviews

Review: Mr. Marshall's Method

Image
Mr. Marshall's Method by Jessa York My rating: 5 of 5 stars YES!!!!! I am so in love with this book! Evan and Holly have such an adorable story! And there is heartbreak, as there always will be with teacher/student romance because its "forbidden" and the wrong person always finds out. But they key to the story is if they can find their way through that heartbreak. You think that Evan and Holly do and they things will be all sunshine and roses and that they will live happily ever after..... but then he has to leave. And then there is some more heartbreak... and I cried. Yep! I cried! While sitting at work reading (we wont talk about how I should have been working....) I had to STOP reading to feel the emotion out and when I could finally dry my eyes I went right back to it. And then cried again. I am not going to tell you how this ends, you are going to have to read it yourself to see what happens.... but I am telling you Jessa York has ...

Review: Venom

Image
Venom by Dee Garcia My rating: 5 of 5 stars Ok so I have to say this.... I am not usually a PNR fan. But I liked the premise of this story and thought I will give it a try! I am so freaking glad that I did! I freaking loved this story! It felt like it was starting a bit slow but when it picked up.... it took off! I was all in.... not wanting to put it down... sneaking read time at work...all of it! I am really enjoying the world of Rosewood. I am totally in...I want more! Dee Garcia pulled me into this world of paranormal beings and I was ALL HERE FOR IT! These kinds of books usually don't hold my interest at all.... but Dee manages to keep me engrossed in their world the entire time! I wish I had more time with Tinks and Hook! But I am also just as excited to see what stories the others have to bring! (and if I get bits and pieces of what Hook and Tinks are up too that will be even more awesome) Yes I would recommend this book! I already have an...

Review: Curves Ahead

Image
Curves Ahead by Andi Jaxon My rating: 5 of 5 stars Wow! When Andi Jaxon said "curves ahead" I did not take that at all as the warning it should be! I was waiting for Kristen and Alex's story! MAN! Did I want it! And I totally got just what I wanted.... these 2 were not the kind of couple you would see as working out. But you could just tell that when they finally get together it would be explosive! And damn it was!!! I really loved how protective he was over her. And how he made her feel safe. I was reading this book all day while I was supposed to be working... I could not put it down....so I started and finished it in a day. The curves that are thrown at you in this book are jaw dropping... and I gasped on more than one occasion! All the love for this book!!! View all my reviews

Review: Cross your Heart

Image
Cross your Heart by Haley Jenner My rating: 5 of 5 stars Do you ever finish a book that took you on such a journey that you immediately think "I want to read that again"? Well that is how I am feeling about Cross Your Heart by Haley Jenner. It is no secret that I am a HUGE fan of the friends-to-lovers story so this book was right up my alley. I expected a bit of unrequited love.... some angst.... what I did not expect was for it to hit me so freaking hard before I was even through 25% of the book that my eyes were in tears and I felt like my heart had plummeted into my stomach. Yeah! That hard hit! And the story also touches on a subject that people don't really associate with adults.... but bullying of adults is real! This story takes you through Roxy's journey making her way through the touch criticism of Hollywood.... and then there is Reid... swoon-worthy, jerk face, infuriating Reid! This book had my heart from the very beginni...

Review: The Love Trap

Image
The Love Trap by Nicole French My rating: 5 of 5 stars For the love of all that is Nicole French awesomeness!!! What the heck did I just read? The conclusion of the Quicksilver trilogy was everything I didn't even know I wanted it to be! I had so many feelings while reading this book! There were some parts that caused some very real physical reactions in me. There was so much suspense in this trilogy and this final book wrapped it all up! My head is still reeling from some of the things that happened.... and let's just say that there were some things that I totally did NOT see coming! All the love for this trilogy. Nicole French's story telling made this conclusion totally worth the wait! Her books are decent length... and yet I almost always mange to finish them in a day! I can not wait to see what she brings us next!!! View all my reviews

Review: Dreams of 18

Image
Dreams of 18 by Saffron A. Kent My rating: 5 of 5 stars Saffron A Kent has this way of pulling you into a story and making you feel like these are your people! And in case you haven't been able to tell.... she is a bit of a fan of the older man/younger woman thing! I am a HUGE fan of Violet's! She is just the most awesome person. She had some issues....and she was letting them define her. But what she didn't realize is that while they were defining her and she was also changing their definition without even realizing it! And Mr. Edwards! Swoony.... jerk-faced Mr Edwards! If ever there was a more obtuse man I would be oddly surprised! I love the dynamic between them. They work so well together! They just need to realize it! Oh....and BRIAN!!! Man oh man..... please tell me we will get Brian's story too! I want her best friend to have a HEA! He needs one!!! And that mother of Violet's is smack worthy! If I could jump into a book and...
