Review: Almost Hitched

Image
Almost Hitched by Kylie Gilmore My rating: 5 of 5 stars This story begins with an engagement of 2 people who have already realized and admitted they are in love with each other. In Almost Romance you got a little caught up on the lives of Ian and Kate and the beginnings of their long distance romance. After some months apart , and some steamy Skype sessions, there is a surprise proposal! Once engaged, THEN they decide to see if they could live together. What I love the most about this story is that it takes place after the I Love You's and showing the work to get to the I Do's. Its a great telling of how the regular everyday things can cause the most damage in relationships. There were a couple of large issues they had to work through, but it was mostly about how they had to work through communication issues. Kate is still very analytical and inexperienced with relationships. Hearing about her scientific observations of their relationship was slightly hil...

Review: Almost Romance, A Clover Park STUDS Novella

Almost Romance, A Clover Park STUDS Novella by Kylie Gilmore My rating: 5 of 5 stars After what seems like forever the story of Kate and Ian (which you started to see in Almost In Love) is being told! So this is a great way to get caught up on what they have been up to since then.... so lets recap... Kate was 21 and ready to get rid of her V-card. Ian was a player and happily took it right off her hands. This experience changed him. But Kate was not ready to get serious with anyone. So she went back to school. When she graduated Ian thought this would be their time, he was wrong. Kate was off to Chicago and didn't think that a long distance relationship would work. Eventually Ian went after her to show her that they should be together. Kate doesn't really know how to have relationships with other people. Ian seems to be the most understanding man on the planet. I absolutely love his determination to be with her and not let her push him away, ...

Review: Restless Harmony

Image
Restless Harmony by Kylie Gilmore My rating: 5 of 5 stars YES!!! Gabe is afraid to get close to anyone because too many people around him die. He makes an exception for Zoe because she makes him FEEL things again (and not just between his legs). Zoe has plans. She is going to be a jazz star. Men cant handle her traveling for gigs, so they leave her. At least that's what she thought, she later finds out there was interference. But it is for this reason she does not want to get close to Gabe and she keeps him at arms length. Oh but that's not the way it works. They get together anyway. They fall in love anyway. As with any other HEA Romance there has to be drama that gets in their way....and his name is Jordan. Luckily Gabe does not fall for his tricks. Although he really didn't do himself any favors when it came to convincing Zoe that he plans to stick around. With Gabe's fear of loved ones dying I kept waiting for something to happen ...

Review: Kissing Santa

Image
Kissing Santa by Kylie Gilmore My rating: 4 of 5 stars How cute is a story of love arranged by impatient mothers? Rico the player, Samantha the romantic dreamer. What better couple could there be? Both in their 30's, both ready to settle down. Its a shorter story than the rest of the series but still great, Rico does everything he thinks Samantha wants to sweep her off her feet, but then Samantha gets difficult. She basically gives him a list of what she wants from a man... and then when he does them she gets upset with him for not being "himself". But she didn't like him when he was "himself". Turns out that she doesn't want the fairy tale she thought she wanted. She wants a real man. Once Rico figures this out thing begin to come together for them. And I absolutely love that we are still getting to hear about characters from the earlier stories! View all my reviews

Review: The Billionaire's Control

Image
The Billionaire's Control by Crystal Kaswell My rating: 5 of 5 stars Purple!!!!! Lizzy and Nick are super hot!!! While there is most definitely a lot is sex (making this story not for everyone) there was a ton of emotion packed in also. Nicks mixed signals would have cause any woman to go insane, Lizzy handled them pretty well. There was always something happening to make it a difficult book to put down. I really loved the purple factor.....him noticing it as her favorite color and kept buying her things that were people. That was one of the sweetest things I've ever read!!! View all my reviews

Review: Bad Taste in Men

Image
Bad Taste in Men by Kylie Gilmore My rating: 5 of 5 stars Who isn't afraid to fall in love? We all hope to someday find someone to fall in love with, but when it actually happens it is quite terrifying! Add to that some really crappy relationships (including one stalker) and that is where you find Rachel. Plus she is getting ready to lose her business. To say she is shaken and cautious is an understatement. Shane is the sweetest of the O'Hare brothers. All he wants is for Rachel to love him in return. So he does what any man would.... takes advantage of ANY opportunity that comes his way. Being in business with someone isn't easy, especially since Rachel has one business failing and is afraid of not only losing that business, but also losing herself in Shane. And she doesn't want to lose some one she has come to rely on as a friend. So Shane has his work cut out for him. I love how he refused to give up on Rachel no matter how frustrated he got wit...

Review: Bet Me Something by Aubrey Bondurant

Image
Bet Me Something by Aubrey Bondurant My rating 5 out of 5 stars McKenzie was in love with Colby all her life.  Colby was a play boy.  I love that we were able to get a small glimpse into what these two were up to before they were together.  Yeah, you can read this as a stand alone without reading the 2 before.  But had I not already read them before, I would have wanted to after reading this.   The characters are all wonderful.  And the writing is so great that I feel emotionally attached to them as if they were in my own circle of friends.  And I do love when my friends get their HEA.  I am very much looking forward to reading more about this group of people.
